Neumonía adquirida en la comunidad en niños, desde la perspectiva de enfermería.

Abstract

To assess the current situation of community-acquired pneumonia in children according to the objectives, methodology, results and conclusions. Methodology: This study is an analytical-synthetic and inductive-deductive cross-sectional study, following the methodology of systematic bibliographic reviews. For the literature search, different databases such as PubMed, ScienceDirect, DialnetPlus and LILACS were used, using key descriptors such as: pneumonia, childhood pneumonia, acquired pneumonia, community-acquired pneumonia, community-acquired pneumonia in children. Results: The results of the assessment of the current situation of community-acquired pneumonia have shown higher rates in developing countries compared to developed ones. In Ecuador, in 2021, 73,494 cases of pneumonia were reported nationwide, and for 2022, more than 6,574 cases of this pathology were reported, according to the National Directorate of Epidemiological Surveillance of Ecuador. This allows us to offer a comprehensive view that provides a solid and well-founded assessment of the reality of this disease in the childhood context.
