Abstract

In Ecuador, faced with a global digital society, an era of great advances, but of great risks, is palpable. Currently, the academic, labor, and social fields have been closely linked to technology, thus beginning the violation of rights such as the one raised in this project, the violation of the right to privacy. In Ecuador, cases such as the disclosure or dissemination of intimate videos or personal information are experienced, but faced with a weak state legal system that increases impunity, many times the people responsible for these violations prefer not to undergo a judicial process that lacks transparency and speed. That is why these types of cases are often not reported. The Ecuadorian regulations contemplate within its legal framework the violation of privacy as a crime, this work exposes how to report the violation of this crime, what are the regulations regulating this crime, the organizations or institutions that act against the violation of this right, among others. It is important to know that there is the necessary support, guidance and action in the face of this crime, but it is also necessary to socialize the regulations and procedures that accompany these situations, for the benefit of the violated person. This crime not only damages the morale of the victim, it often also damages their physical and psychological health. It is vital to understand that silence or omission of the fact does not mean forgetfulness.
