Abstract: The current research project focuses on carrying out a study on the tourist offers of restaurants in the San Lorenzo and Santa Marianita parishes, belonging to the rural area of the Manta canton. Through the documentary review, it was possible to identify a total of 12 restoration establishments, of which seven belong to the San Lorenzo parish and five to Santa Marianita. According to the methodology used, the inductive-deductive method is used, as well as the documentary review and survey techniques. The questionnaire is applied to 140 tourists who visit this destination and aims to measure the current situation of the catering establishments belonging to this area. The results obtained show that the tourist offer is valued positively. However, to complement it, it is necessary to adopt aspects such as accessibility, infrastructure, basic services and others. The strengths identify its privileged location and the variety of dishes. Contrary to this, negative aspects such as poor customer service, lack of spaces for the transit of disabled people, limited staff training are evident. At the end, a series of strategies are elaborated, among the most outstanding are the promotion and diffusion of the tourist offer, generation of events in the locality, making strategic alliances, among others. The objective of these activities is based on the premise of enhancing the quality of the service received by tourists and thus increasing the growth of tourism in these areas.
Description: El actual proyecto de investigación se enfoca en llevar a cabo un estudio sobre las ofertas turísticas de restaurantes en las parroquias San Lorenzo y Santa Marianita, pertenecientes a la zona rural del cantón Manta. A través de la revisión documental, se logra identificar un total de 12 establecimientos de restauración, de los cuales siete son pertenecientes a la parroquia San Lorenzo y cinco a Santa Marianita.
