Abstract: This project aims to determine the offer and service offered by some popular restaurants in the urban area of the city of Manta. The research was carried out using the quantitative and qualitative method, with the type of descriptive, bibliographic, field and analytical research, where they were applied as research techniques: The survey, considering as population and shows a total of 40 people, taking as reference the restaurant "El buen comer de la U" and the restaurant "Mirella" in the city of Manta. In addition, the interview technique was applied, in order to have the opinion of those who know the subject very closely, this is the case of the president of popular restaurants, an executive chef, Hotel Aquamarina; and to the owner of the restaurant "El buen comer de la U", also the owner of the restaurant "Mirella". The results show that the majority of citizens prefer popular restaurants, considering price as a fundamental factor when choosing where to eat, as it is also appreciated that these places are widely accepted due to the great variety of identity food; At the end, a proposal is made by means of an improvement plan to be applied in the interpretation of concepts and definitions that specialists on the subject have written. We do this in the theoretical framework.
Description: Este proyecto tiene como objetivo determinar la oferta y el servicio que ofrecen algunos restaurantes populares de la zona urbana de la ciudad de Manta. La investigación se realizó mediante el método cuantitativo y cualitativo, con el tipo de investigación descriptivo, bibliográfico, de campo y analítico, donde se aplicaron como técnicas de investigación.
