Resumen : | Tourism, like other industries, have been forced to adapt to the new demands of customers, changes, and innovation. Currently, information technologies are used in almost all labor fields, allowing better time optimization. The following research is aimed at raising the quality of the tourist service that is currently offered in the Montecristi canton, from the implementation of new ICTs (information and communication technologies), which allow optimizing time and updating information on This will allow it to compete on a par with other destinations worldwide. For the development of the research, the analytical-synthetic method was used, and a survey questionnaire was applied. The results provided for the case study in the Montecristi canton, it was obtained that the Tic's are not being used in a diverse and timely manner, generating dissatisfaction in the tourist, this clearly has a negative impact on local development in this area. Based on the above, the project is oriented to the study of information and communication technologies as a strategy to determine the impact of tics on tourism for the Montecristi canton, where it has been possible to determine that the tourism authorities, managers and Investors play a fundamental role to achieve this objective, since they are in charge of managing tourism plans that enhance tourism with the application of the Tic's, achieving a high level of satisfaction in tourists visiting the canton. |
