Perfil del turista que visita Manta 2021.

Abstract

This research work is focused on investigating the profile of the tourist who visits the city of Manta in the year, 2021. That is, to know what their characteristics, tastes, preferences and motivations are. In this sense, the objective of the research is to determine the profile of the tourist who visits Manta in the year 2021 to improve the offer of local tourist products and services. This is carried out through descriptive research, with a mixed research approach, using logical methods: inductive-deductive, analysis and synthesis. The population of this research is determined according to data from the Ministry of Tourism, which is 596 tourists who examine Manta of what is going on in 2021. With a sample of 86 people to be studied and using the survey as a research technique . On the other hand, an interview was applied to three managers of travel agencies in the city, with a total of 89 participants in this study. As a result of the surveys, it was found that the majority of the tourists surveyed are female with a total of 62% of the sample, with an average age of 30 years. A higher incidence of national tourists was reflected, originating from Manabí with a total of 47%, Guayas with 15% and Pichincha with 11% respectively. In relation to the tastes and preferences of tourists, it was determined that 38% of the population favors seafood restaurants, while 15% prefer full-service restaurants, among other aspects that will be detailed throughout this investigation.
