Responsabilidad social empresarial, gestión hotelera en los hoteles de cuatro y cinco estrellas del cantón Manta.

Abstract

The current study is carried out with the objective of analyzing the current context of four- and five-stars hotel establishments in the Manta canton, with respect to social and business responsibility in their daily activities. Through the results, it will be shown if there are negative aspects, after detecting these shortcomings, strategies are developed in order to reduce the most common problems that do not allow the development of the hotel sector. Regarding the methodology, it is determined that the design is quantitative, while the type of research is descriptive and field. Inductive-deductive and comparative methods are used, survey techniques are also used for clients who come to hotel establishments and interviews are applied to managers in the sector. A total of 100 answers are collected, the respondents indicate that corporate social responsibility in the hotel companies of the Manta canton is evaluated as good, since there is an intention to help solve the problems that occur in the locality as such. However, they indicate that continuous training should be carried out and more resources should be provided to the departments in order to solve problems that arise. The strategies formulated in this research seek to improve the corporate social responsibility of the 4 and 5* hotel establishments in the Manta canton. Among the main actions, meetings between public-private actors stand out, as well as designing measures for the protection of environmental resources.
