Resumen : Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a global health problem due to its high prevalence, due to all the personal and health costs it causes, although advances have now been made in hemodialysis techniques, CKD and dialytic procedures lead to changes in the physical, psychological, and social status of patients, probably because they experience invasive procedures, family abandonment, dependency status, and limitations that affect the deterioration in quality of life. It has been shown that CKD is associated with psychiatric disorders, especially depressive and anxious symptoms that severely affect the patient's well-being, which depends in part on adherence to treatment and response to hemodialysis, and sometimes because of the influence of psychiatric disorders, many patients tend to fail or abandon hemodialysis treatment more easily. Therefore, the objective of our work is to determine the relationship of depressive and anxious disorders in patients with chronic kidney disease under hemodialysis by implementing a bibliographic-documentary methodology, compiling information in various articles published in academic sources such as Cochrane Plus, PubMed, SciELO, among others. As a result, the depressive symptomatology of patients with CKD includes manifestations of anxiety, depressive episodes; The importance of emotional factors is so crucial as they can aggravate or cause greater difficulties in the process of the disease, they can range from the nonacceptance of the disease and treatment to the development of other symptoms and diseases. Finally, it is recommended that hemodialysis services establish a multidisciplinary intervention plan to address psychoeducational issues to meet the physical and mental health needs of patients.
