Abstract: | This article addresses aspects related to stillbirths as a result of the COVID-19pandemic; pregnancy being a physiological state that makes women vulnerableto viruses. For what is presented throughout this investigative work, the maincharacteristics of the viral disease COVID-19, its complications and symptomspresented in pregnant women. In the same way, the concept of fetal deaths andits prevalence since 2020 in Ecuador and other countries are disclosed in detail.In addition to establishing a series of solutions available to prevent fetal death inpregnant women infected by this virus. As a general objective, it was proposedto analyze the existence of stillbirths as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.Applying a bibliographical-documentary type methodology, through a systematicreview of contents, in which the results were obtained that among the mostserious events that COVID-19 can cause in a pregnant woman, is premature birthand death of the fetus, in addition to verifying that there was an increase in fetaldeaths in 2020 compared to 2019, attributing this to the Covid-19 infection inpregnant women. Finally, it was obtained that, among the solutions available totreat Covid-19 in pregnant women, is treatment with drugs such asLopinavir/ritonavir Commercial preparations, Oseltamivir and Chloroquine Keywords.
