Abstract: | The objective of this work focuses on describing the possible influence of the viral load of the coronavirus family on the behavior of the disease in the infected individual. Problem: The human coronavirus has represented a worldwide problem, considered as a current pandemic, this is how the need to solve the lack of knowledge about this very recent disease has been raised Methodology: The present study gathers information through publications in scientific journals such as scientific articles, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, which are supported by the medical-scientific community through a systematic review of the literature. Results: When infecting a human being, coronaviruses use the angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 as a receptor, the binding site being protein S. It is highlighted that the high contagiousness of SARS-CoV-2 is due to the high binding affinity of this protein. last. RT-PCR tests are recognized as an efficient and rapid test that can detect the presence of the virus from respiratory secretions and from the nasopharynx. Conclusion: The viral load in infected individuals can be found in high amounts with or without the presence of symptoms, emphasizing the high viral load present above all in thenasopharyngeal swab samples. |
