Abstract: | Currently, work stress encompasses several risk factors from which the university professor is not exempt, especially if these factors are related to the Covid-19 pandemic, which has marked a before and after in the professional life of the professor. The main objective of this study is focused on collecting scientific information that allows the study of work stress in university professors as a consequence of the Covid-19 pandemic. For this, twenty scientific articles were selected from which the most relevant information regarding our research topic has been extracted. It is concluded that pressure in the work environment is unavoidable: workload, job performance expectations and recognition exploration are part of the daily life of a professional; however, the excess of routine tasks end up generating an effect of tension, impotence and constant frustration known as work stress, which can have harmful consequences for the physical and mental health of the university professor, which, if not prevented and addressed, in time can trigger other health problems in the future. Finally, the quality of life of the university professor is assessed in the face of work stress factors that put their health and job satisfaction at risk. |
