Abstract: The Lutjanidae family known as the family of snappers, being medium predators, which is why it can be found on rocky and coral bottoms, this family has a large number of species, however this research was carried out with its three best-known species as L.. peru, or lunarejo snapper, L. argentiventris yellow snapper and L. gutattus commonly known as red snapper, a species commercialized throughout Latin America and Central America, few studies have been carried out on these snapper species, however in this study it was carried out a bibliographic collection where they make us aware of the biological aspects of the population focused on the points of reproduction and sexual maturity, these being the most studied in order to understand the dynamics of a fishery, although more studies are still needed to understand and sustain the concept of dynamics population of this Family in the concept of biological aspects that can be concluded with this study that these species tend to reproduce throughout the year, however, it is possible to know the highest reproduction points in areas such as the Gulf of Mexico, Costa Rica, Colombia and El Salvador.
