Abstract

The project entitled "The Approach to Cases of Domestic Violence from the Perspective of the Social Worker in the Judicial Field, 2025" the main objective is to analyze the intervention of Social Workers, in cases of domestic violence in judicial processes, the central problem of the investigation is related to the violent situations faced by victims and the attention they receive within the judicial system and to determine the intervention of Social Workers and how their work influences the protection of rights and the accompaniment of victims. The methodology was based on a qualitative approach, applying techniques such as interviews with three Social Workers and life stories of three women, which facilitated an understanding of the experiences, experiences, needs of victims, as well as the actions carried out by professionals in the judicial area, by evidencing that the work of the Social Worker is not limited to accompaniment, but includes the preparation of social reports, home visits and coordination with psychologists, lawyers and doctors. Likewise, the results identified jealousy, alcohol and drug use, economic dependency, and sexism as the main causes of violence. The conclusion was that the role of the social worker is fundamental in the judicial system because it guarantees a comprehensive approach, supports the judge's decision-making, and protects victims. However, there are evident resource limitations in judicial institutions, which makes it necessary to strengthen professional training and coordination with these institutions.
