Abstract: | The present research entitled “Social Intervention and its Impact on the Resilience of Child Victims of Domestic Violence in the Cantonal Board for the Protection of Rights of Montecristi Canton, year 2024-2025”, aimed to determine how social intervention influences the resilience of child victims of domestic violence, in order to identify the effectiveness of the practices implemented. The methodology was qualitative, relying on inductive and descriptive methods and epistemological approaches such as the phenomenological and hermeneutic approaches; to understand the experiences of social workers during their intervention. The technique used was the interview and as an instrument a questionnaire of semi-structured questions, the key informants were the social workers of the Cantonal Board of Protection of Rights of the Canton Montecristi, interviews were not conducted directly with the minors due to ethical considerations and the protection of their emotional well-being, since this is a vulnerable population. The findings show that, according to the social workers, the intervention has a positive impact on children who are victims of domestic violence, as one of them points out: “when a child knows that someone listens to him, values him and protects him, he begins to change”; this change is manifested in attitudes, such as starting to talk, smile, look in the eyes and participate actively. It is concluded that the strategies of accompaniment, active listening and emotional support favor the development of resilience, allowing the children to rebuild their self-esteem, identify support networks and face adversities. |
