Abstract: This research project focuses on social vulnerability as a limiting factor in access to education. The main objective was to understand the cases of social vulnerability evident in rural communities where access to education was limited, especially in the Bolívar Canton. The project identified vulnerable groups unable to access education. Using a qualitative methodology, an interview was conducted with residents of the Mocochal Rural Community. The results reveal significant challenges for mothers with children with disabilities and older adults. The mothers highlighted the lack of curricular adaptations and specialized support in educational institutions, which negatively impacts their children's overall development. Older adults, in turn, mention the existence of economic barriers and traditional family roles that hinder their access to education, generating feelings of limitation. It is concluded that access to education for people invulnerable situations in rural communities is limited due to various problems and situations that prevent them from accessing it.
Description: El proyecto de investigación se enfoca en la vulnerabilidad social como factor limitante del acceso a la educación. El propósito principal fue conocer los casos de vulnerabilidad social que se evidenciaron en las comunidades rurales, donde se limitó el acceso a la educación, especialmente en el Cantón Bolívar, en el cual se identificaron cuáles son los grupos en situación de vulnerabilidad que no pudieron acceder a la educación.
