Abstract

This research project analyzes the impact of Social Work on family empowerment based on the development of social projects carried out in the Manta canton during the years 2024 and 2025. It uses a mixed approach, involving quantitative and qualitative techniques, allowing us to understand the perceptions of the professionals involved in the social projects and, on the other hand, how the beneficiary families experience the support processes. The results show that the intervention by the Social Worker, when consistent and focused on the families' real needs, achieves a significant impact on the daily lives of each client. However, it is important to emphasize that the active participation of the family is a key factor in achieving the necessary empowerment. In conclusion, it is important to highlight that empowerment can be possible when the constant collaboration of those involved is achieved, which promotes reflection on the need to design social strategies that foster community transformation.
