La intervención social en la aplicación de protocolos de atención integral a víctimas de violencia de género en la fundación HIAS, año 2024-2025.

Abstract

The present research entitled “Social Intervention in the Application of Comprehensive Care Protocols for Victims of Gender Violence in the HIAS Foundation, Year 2024-2025” aims to understand the application of comprehensive care protocols for women victims of gender violence in the HIAS Foundation, in the city of Manta. A qualitative approach was employed, using interview and life history as techniques, with a questionnaire of open-ended questions as an instrument. The study was developed under the inductive method and combined a descriptive and explanatory type of research. Initially, the participation of the Foundation's social workers and the women assisted was planned; however, due to institutional changes related to financing, it was not possible to conduct the interviews with the internal professional team. Instead, four women victims of violence who received care at the Foundation and three external social workers with experience in dealing with cases and knowledge of comprehensive care protocols were selected as key informants. The results reveal that social intervention plays a fundamental role in professional and empathic accompaniment, facilitating access to rights, legal orientation, and emotional support throughout the process. Through the life histories, it became evident that this intervention not only meets urgent protection needs, but also promotes empowerment processes, restitution of rights and social reintegration for the women assisted.
