Abstract: Didactic strategies in the writing of short texts become a fundamental topic because they allow students to develop essential communication skills, promote clear, coherent, and creative expresión. Through these strategies, progressive learning of writing is encouraged, short texts facilitate the practice of basic structures, and Foster the student’s confidence in their abiliy to write. Furthernore, it enables the teacher to carry out a more effective formative assessment by idenifying individual advancements and difficulties. The objective of this research was to analyze the teaching strategies to strengthen writing in short texts among the 9th grade students of Basic Education parallel "A" at the Fiscomisional Educational Unit "Juan Montalvo". This institution is located in the province of Manabí, Manta Canton. Here, the problem of a deficit in writing microstories is presented, which allowed defining the variables for its analysis or study, determined as teaching strategies in the writing of short texts, using a methodology from a mixed approach. The results present an analysis and interpretation obtained from the open-ended questions directed to two teachers in the area of Language and Literature and a rubric applied to the students; the results were triangulated to verify the achievement of the objectives and the application of a training workshop aimed at educators was proposed to strengthen the didactic strategies in the writing of short texts.
Description: Las estrategias didácticas en la redacción de textos cortos se convierten en un tema fundamental porque permiten desarrollar en los estudiantes habilidades comunicativas esenciales, promueven una expresión clara, coherente y creativa. A través de estas estrategias, se favorece un aprendizaje progresivo de la escritura, los textos breves facilitan la práctica de estructuras básicas y fomentan la confianza del estudiante en su capacidad para redactar.
