Estudio comparativo entre la obra ensayo sobre la lucidez y el contexto político ecuatoriano actual.

Abstract

Literature is an essential tool that society has to express, reflect, analyze, denounce, raise awareness and sensitize human beings with respect to the problems that impede the progress and life of a country. In this sense, this research study focuses on the exploration and study of sociopolitical phenomena within the work Essay on Lucidity to demonstrate that those problems correlate with the current Ecuadorian political context. In addition, the methodology of this research is qualitative approach. As a result, the following methods were used: hermeneutic, bibliographic, exegetic, intertextual and semiotic. As well as that, there was the participation of a politician, lawyer, journalist, anthropologist, sociologist, educator and literature teacher, who took part in interviews and focus groups, whose questions were created based on their professional profile and organized in a double entry matrix, their points of views allowed to move forward with this research. Likewise, the results indicate that citizens are victims of several phenomena that destroy their democratic rights, such as: possible corruption in certain media outlets, the alleged power struggle between socio-political elites, and probable influence peddling. On the other hand, society also has several transforming tools to fight against those acts of corruption such as the voting right, the power of the masses, education, and literature. To sum up, sorting out or dealing with these phenomena is not an easy task. Nonetheless, true change comes from a critical and lucid perspective from both young people and adults, just so significant changes can be achieved.
