Abstract

The efficient management of information in business environments represents a key element to strengthen strategic decision-making, therefore, it is identified that in many companies there is still inefficient data management, characterized by dispersed information and dependence on basic tools, which limits operational and decision-making efficiency. The objective is to determine the disposition of Information Management for optimization in decision-making through a Business Intelligence model. Therefore, a qualitative approach is adopted, through the application of semi-structured interviews and direct observations to key collaborators, in order to know the current skills and organizational needs around information management. The results obtained reveal deficiencies in the centralization, digitization and accessibility of data, as well as the need to incorporate technological solutions developed, the interviewees recognize the limitations of current tools and express interest in the Power BI platform, valued for its ability to generate dynamic reports and real-time analysis. Therefore, the use of Business Intelligence tools not only improves efficiency in internal processes, but also strengthens the quality of information and promotes better decisions. Finally, the implementation of Business Intelligence, transforming information management, which improves productivity and responsiveness, but also contributes to more effective decision-making, by better positioning the company and strengthening its ability to adapt to the current competitive environment.
