Abstract

This Study was born through the main problems such as the lack of knowledge and application of digital skills, which causes a delay or slowdown in the processes carried out internally, which affects efficiency and decision-making in an operational way focused on the processes and also within the institution. from these difficulties, the main objective is created, which analyzes digital competencies in the managerial environment in the administrative department of the "Veintitrés de Octubre" Educational Unit of Montecristi. Therefore, the methodology adopted is a mixed approach, through the application of techniques that were used among these are the direct observation guide and the use of a semi-structured interview which are applied to the administrative staff and parents who intervene with the institution. Among the main results are the level of digital skills that the department's staff has, and the limiting use of digital tools. Likewise, the absence of training in tools, deficiencies in security and information management, but also in the resolution of technological problems is denoted. It is concluded that there is a gap in the use of digital skills within the institution, restricting efficiency in the managerial environment, and indicating the urgent need for the use of training.
