Abstract: The research analyzed the impact of information management strategies on improving digital services of the Ministry of Economic and Social Inclusion (MIES) in the city of Manta in 2024. The study addresses the need to optimize access to and efficiency of digital services offered by the institution. For the development of the research, a qualitative approach was adopted, using techniques such as semi-structured interviews with MIES officials. Using this method, significant advances in service digitization were identified, especially in urban areas, and persistent limitations in connectivity, organizational autonomy, and staff training. The results revealed that, although digital platforms and procedures exist to manage information, their coverage and scope are still partial due to budgetary restrictions, dependence on national decisions, and a lack of systematic evaluation. It was concluded that the information management strategies at MIES have contributed to greater institutional efficiency but need to be strengthened through a structured system of monitoring, evaluation, and continuous improvement. It is recommended to implement the Comprehensive Monitoring, Evaluation, and Continuous Improvement System (SIMEMC), promote continuous staff training, improve interoperability, and strengthen citizen participation to ensure the provision of accessible, transparent, and user-centered digital service.
Description: La investigación analizó el impacto de las estrategias de gestión de la información en la mejora de los servicios digitales del Ministerio de Inclusión Económica y Social (MIES) en la ciudad de Manta en 2024. El estudio aborda la necesidad de optimizar el acceso y eficiencia de los servicios digitales que ofrece la institución. Para el desarrollo de la investigación se adoptó un enfoque cualitativo, utilizando técnicas como entrevista semiestructurada a funcionarios del MIES.
