Resumen : The research you are about to read aimed to implement a thermal chamber for the production of banana seedlings inoculated with Trichoderma sp. at the Río Suma Experimental Farm of the Universidad Laica Eloy Alfaro de Manabí – El Carmen Extension. The project was born from the need to improve the agronomic and sanitary quality of the seedlings, increasing their resistance to pests and soil pathogens. A completely randomized design was used with six treatments and five replications, applying the following treatments: T1: natural soil, T2: substrate (soil + rice husk), T3: substrate + rice husk + Trichoderma sp. 100% (commercial dose: 2 g L⁻¹), T4: substrate + rice husk + Trichoderma sp. at 75% of the commercial dose, T5: substrate + rice husk + Trichoderma sp. at 50%, and T6: substrate + rice husk + Trichoderma sp. at 25%. The results showed that the combination of the microclimate generated by the thermal chamber and the biological action of the fungus favored seedling development in factors such as plant height, number of healthy roots, and leaf area. Among these, T6 obtained the best results in terms of the total number of healthy roots and their greater length. These results represent an option for the development of sustainable agriculture and for optimizing nursery production by reducing the use of agrochemicals and improving efficiency in banana crop management. The findings obtained can be leveraged by producers to strengthen their production systems and contribute to local agricultural development.
