Abstract: | Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is considered one of the most frequent disorders in childhood, which causes deficits in executive functions, attention, perception, memory and concentration. These problems trigger deficits in motor, sensory, cognitive, communication and social participation skills. With the aim of mitigating the characteristics of this disorder in the areas of occupation, the following work was proposed, in which the role of the occupational therapist, intervention techniques and their benefits were identified through a systernatic review of the scientific literature, based on established parameters for the inclusion and exclusion of articles. A search for information from scientific publications related to the subject was carried out, where the positive and relevant impact on the intervention of this disorder was demonstrated, contributing to those symptoms characteristic of ADHD, improving impulsive and hyperactive behaviour in children and occupational performance in basic activities of daily living. |
