Abstract: This feasibility study focuses on the production of a coconut cream intended for sun protection. The main objective is to assess the technical, economic and commercial feasibility of developing an innovative product that combines the natural benefits of coconut with the necessary protection against UV rays. The increased awareness of the harmful effects caused by solar radiation has boosted the demand for sun protection products. In this context, coconut cream is presented as a natural and effective alternative that takes advantage of its moisturizing and antioxidant properties. Qualitative and quantitative methods were used to conduct the research, which included market studies, secondary data analysis, laboratory tests to determine the product's efficacy and safety parameters, financial analysis, projected costs, revenues and profitability calculations in order to facilitate the assessment of overall feasibility. The findings demonstrate that the production of a coconut-based sunscreen is technically feasible, with clearly defined production processes and achievable quality standards. Economically speaking, the outlook shows positive profit margins with an attractive return on investment. Furthermore, there is a growing market for natural sun protection products, which has been well received by target consumers. These findings suggest that the development of coconut oil as an ingredient in sun protection creams represents a viable and profitable opportunity to pursue, while emphasizing its natural benefits and efficacy as a sunscreen through effective marketing strategies, which is highly recommended.
