Abstract: This research analyzes the use of bamboo fibers as reinforcement in the concrete mix for rigid pavements. It seeks to determine whether the incorporation of these fibers into the concrete improves the minimum compressive strength of f'c=280 kg/cm^2 and flexural compression with a minimum strength of f'c=40 kg/cm^2 compared to conventional concrete. The study includes the design of mixtures with different proportions of bamboo fibres (2%, 3.5% and 5%) using the ACI method, the performance of laboratory tests at 7, 14, 21 and 28 days, following ASTM standards for the compression test and the flexural test of the joists. In addition, a comparative analysis was carried out between conventional concrete and concrete containing the addition of bamboo fibres. The results showed that bamboo fibers reduce compressive strength by up to 13.3% with the lowest percentage of fiber addition, but improve flexural compression strength, especially with the 2% dosage, obtaining an increase of 44%. Therefore, it is necessary to optimize its treatment to improve its performance in concrete mixtures.
