Abstract: | Hospitality plays a fundamental role in the gastronomic industry, where the customer experience goes beyond food and focuses on the attention and treatment received. This research was prompted by the need to identify innovative activities that enhance the quality of service in gastronomic establishments in Bahía de Caráquez. The objective is to redesign gastronomic spaces to create more welcoming environments that integrate design elements representative of the local culture, thus improving the user experience and promoting social interaction. The methodology included a quantitative approach; a survey was administered to a representative sample of 377 residents of Bahía de Caráquez, using Likert-type questionnaires. The main results revealed that the perception of hospitality in restaurants is predominantly positive, although there is a need to improve service consistency. The redesign of gastronomic spaces, integrating local cultural elements and interactive areas, was identified as a key strategy to strengthen the customer experience and encourage social interaction. In conclusion, it was highlighted that incorporating hospitality and innovation through welcoming and culturally representative environments improves customer satisfaction and contributes to local economic development. |
