Abstract

Good environmental management contributes positively to a specific sector, providing safety and well-being in all areas, especially the health of users. This research focuses on understanding the management of the environmental department in the San Vicente Regional Government (GAD) in its contribution to the sustainable tourism development of "Los Perales" beach, San Vicente. The research question is how the management of the environmental department in the San Vicente Regional Government (GAD) contributes to the sustainable tourism development of "Los Perales" beach, San Vicente. The objective of this research is to understand the management of the environmental department of the San Vicente Regional Government (GAD) in the sustainable tourism development of "Los Perales" beach. The methodology applied was quantitative and qualitative research, and interview techniques were also used. The representative sample consisted of 49 people, including residents of the canton and members of the San Vicente Regional Government (GAD). The data were tabulated in SPSS with a reliability level of 0.724. As a result, it was learned that people are willing to examine and analyze in more depth the management of the environmental department in the San Vicente Regional Government (GAD) to contribute to the sustainable tourism development of the "Los Perales" beach in San Vicente.
