Abstract: | The project, titled “Strategies to improve talent retention in the hospitality industry: The Balandra case”, aims to develop a comprehensive strategy to enhance talent retention within this establishment, with the goal of reducing employee turnover and increasing organizational stability. The research delves deeply into the reasons behind staff turnover, such as the lack of professional growth opportunities, an inadequate work environment, and limited employee benefits—factors identified through surveys and interviews conducted with hotel staff and management. The study is grounded in a solid theoretical framework that addresses key topics such as talent management, organizational climate, and motivational theories. Methodologically, a mixed approach was employed, combining qualitative and quantitative data to ensure a thorough analysis of the problem. As a result, successful retention practices implemented in other contexts were identified and adapted to meet the specific needs of Hotel Balandra.The proposal includes concrete measures such as personalized career plans, recognition policies, ongoing training, and improvements to the work environment. These strategies are designed to enhance employee satisfaction, reduce turnover-related costs, and improve the quality of service offered to guests. This project not only seeks to provide practical solutions for the hotel but also contributes to the broader knowledge of talent retention in the hospitality industry. |
Description: | El proyecto, titulado “Estrategias para mejorar la retención del talento en las industrias hoteleras: Caso Balandra”, tiene como propósito desarrollar una estrategia integral para mejorar la retención del talento humano de este establecimiento, con el fin de reducir la rotación laboral y aumentar la estabilidad organizacional. La investigación explora a fondo las razones detrás de la rotación laboral, como la falta de oportunidades de crecimiento profesional, un ambiente poco adecuado y beneficios laborales limitados, factores identificados mediante encuestas y entrevistas aplicadas al personal de directivos del hotel. |
