Abstract: Students majoring in electromechanics face a notable lack of practical tools to understand the operation of starter motors that use frequency converters. Theoretical teaching, although fundamental, is not complemented by practical experiences, which significantly complicates the learning process and makes it difficult to understand the concepts. This lack of integration between theory and practice prevents students from acquiring a comprehensive and applicable understanding of advanced electromechanical systems. Design and implement a learning module that provides students with a practical understanding of the motor starting process, using a frequency converter and a potentiometer. This module will not only allow you to apply the acquired theory, but also directly experiment with the real operation of the motors as well as the frequency converter, providing a comprehensive experience that will strengthen your understanding in the field of electromechanics. A comprehensive review of motor starting, drive and potentiometer theory, including various starting methods and configurations as well as their advantages and disadvantages. The teaching module is designed with a comprehensive focus on security, which provides ease of use and accurate representation of the process in real time. Key components were carefully chosen, including a three-phase motor, variable frequency drive, potentiometer and motor guard. This training module is designed according to a specific project that covers the installation of electrical components, the programming of the frequency converter and the development of detailed training instructions. Verify that the learning module is working correctly by testing and adjusting. The usefulness of the module was evaluated and a short practice was carried out to see how it worked.
