The present work was carried out with the purpose of evaluating the use of Beauveria bassiana for biological control of Rhipicephalus microplus in cattle. A bioassay was previously executed in the Microbiology laboratory of the agricultural engineering career of the ULEAM extension El Carmen, to establish the appropriate concentrations and test the pathogenic effectiveness of the available culture. Non-probabilistic descriptive statistics were used. The study variables were the antiparasitic effectiveness (in vitro and in situ), tick mortality (in vitro and in situ), tick mortality average time (in situ). Three treatments were used for the in vitro experiment T1: 1×108 conidia/ml solution; T2: 1×106 conidia/ml and T3: Distilled water (control) and a total of 150 ticks of different stages of development, where treatment 1 expressed greater efficacy in the study variables, achieving 95% effectiveness and producing Significant mortality of parasites from the first 10 days. In the field work, 30 animals (calves and adults) were used that showed different degrees of infestation (high, medium and light), the concentration of conidia that was best expressed in the bioassay was used and the bioinput was applied with intervals of 8 days. The response was significant from the first week, achieving a reduction in severe infestations of up to 53% in the first evaluation and a mortality of up to 90% of ticks after the second application on day 16 respectively. It is established that the use of Beauveria bassiana for biological control of Rhipicephalus microplus in cattle is effective.es
