Abstract

We are undoubtedly facing a generation that is very aware of facial aesthetics and harmony, and, therefore, since there are factors that interfere, it is necessary to know the fields of action, its characteristics, therapeutics and the differentiation of one deforming habit from another. The present study was carried out with the objective of carrying out a study between deforming oral habits; digital suction and tongue projection; For this project, the data collection in scientific journals and articles that are supported in pages such as Scielo, PUBMED, dental science and medicine were taken as a study method. Having as a result information that was necessary for us to be able to establish similarities and differences in development and later in the conclusions of our research and also concluding that digital suction and tongue projection are deforming habits that can cause irreversible alterations if not treated. in time and in the same way they can reach a cycle of recidivism in the case of not being properly diagnosed and eliminated at the root since like everything has a cause and effect, therefore it is important before a treatment to stop or eliminate the cause to arrive the total success and the satisfaction of the patient once this process is finished.
