Abstract

This research paper analyzes the proposal of a strategy to improve informational processes in the General Secretary's Office of ULEAM. Information management is the set of processes that are provided to it with the help of techniques, knowledge, and technological tools to complete its life cycle. However, fulfilling this task is difficult due to the lack of a model that regulates the articulation of informational processes. According to the information reflected on the website in its procedural manuals and flowcharts, the organization carries out processes using certain methodologies and tools. However, the department does not fully comply with the informational processes as presented; they lack a document management system, have a lack of understanding of internal processes, lack updated and adapted technological equipment for new programs, and a lack of models to guide their activities, among others. This research was conducted using methods such as documentary-bibliographic research, analysis and synthesis, theoretical analysis, empirical method for data collection, problem statement, analysis of results, and creation of interviews. As a result, it is expected that the implementation of an improvement model for informational processes will enhance the information management of the department, its methodologies, technologies, and strategies that ensure proper procedure execution, thereby ensuring information integrity and quality.
