Diagnóstico de las necesidades de financiación de los comerciantes del mercado “Los Esteros” de la ciudad de Manta, período 2023.

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the diagnosis of the financing needs of the merchants of the "Los Esteros" market in the city of Manta, during the period 2023. The study is descriptive in nature, it was carried out through the analysis of surveys from the Linkage Program 2023, applied to a population of 39 merchants belonging to the commercial sector of said market. Data collection was carried out through research carried out by students of the Economics program. The surveys were structured into three sections: 1) gender and type of business, 2) educational level and income approximation, and 3) tax regime, usual financing and interest in training topics. The results showed a low educational level among the merchants, with the female gender predominating at 64%. In addition, a high percentage (38%) of informal financing used by merchants to cover their needs was identified. On the other hand, considerable interest was found in receiving training in accounting and financial administration. These findings suggest the need to implement an optimal proposal to access formal financing aimed at merchants in the "Los Esteros" market, in order to strengthen their capabilities and promote the formalization of their businesses. Likewise, the importance of facilitating access to formal financing sources that allow merchants to promote the growth and sustainability of their ventures is evident.
