Incremento del precio del combustible y su incidencia en el precio de la canasta básica en Manta durante los periodos 2016-2022.

Abstract

The development of this research has as a general objective to analyze the increase in the price of fuel and its impact on the basic basket. Consequently, it is intended to analyze the evolution of the price of fuel and the basic basket throughout the period 2016-2022 of the Manta Canton. The research method applied corresponds to the descriptive and exploratory approach, for which statistical bases from INEC, EP Petro Ecuador and the Ministerio de Finanza were used. The results obtained indicate that for the year 2016 the price of the basic basket was $700.96 with an average fuel price of $1.85. As of 2017, the study showed an increase in the price of the basic basket of $726.98 with an average fuel price of $1.64, that is, the fuel had a slight decrease. In 2018 to 2019, the price of the basic basket decreases from $730.49 with an average of $2.65 in the price of fuel to $728.22 with an average of $2.32 in fuel price. During the years 2020 to 2022, the price of the basic basket increased its price to $776.37 with an average of $2.86 in the price of fuel.
