Abstract

The present investigation addresses the usefulness of a computer system such as technological tool in the process of information management in a company Public Electric Strategic National Electricity Corporation during the period 2023. The interest in carrying out this work arises from the need to improve the management of information in CNEL EP, an entity that provides electrical services to a wide Manabí region. The aim and objective of the study are to develop techniques, tools and strategies to optimize the information systems used, with the in order to offer a more efficient and higher quality service to the community. For To achieve these objectives, a methodology was used that combines descriptive approaches and analytical, relying on case studies and data collection through questionnaires and interviews. The structure of the work ranges from the definition and justification of the study, passing through a conceptual framework, until the presentation of results, analysis, conclusions and recommendations. The results obtained stand out the need to update information systems to overcome deficiencies current problems, such as the lack of technological resources and trained personnel. The investigation proposes an improvement plan that includes staff training and implementation of advanced technological tools to guarantee more efficient access to information and better management of it.
