Abstract

Document management is essential for any organization that seeks to optimize internal administrative processes, improving the accessibility of information and ensuring the correct conservation of documents, guaranteeing that they are available timely manner for decision making. This case study focuses on the topic The improvement plan as a strategy for the development of the quality of process management in the DAVELAB clinical laboratory in Manta, 2023. In the business environment where it is increasingly dynamic and competitive, efficiency Information has become a key factor for organizational success. The management documentary is defined as the set of processes and practices that allow the organization, storage, access and preservation of information in an entity, playing a role fundamental in the optimization of administrative processes, leading to compliance with regulations, availability and quality of information. (Camilo and Castro, 2021). Although there is a system to centralize clinical laboratory information DAVELAB, problems are evident in the information storage backup such as is the inconsistency in the data, difficulties in accessing and retrieving the documents, lack of detailed files, loss of relevant information, security problems documentation and lack of training for employees. In this context, the implementation of a document management system is fundamental to address the problems identified in process management administrative, in this way contributes to the continuous improvement of the organization, allowing greater agility and precision in the execution of tasks.
