Abstract

This research analyzes the benefits of the multiparty agreement in the tariff reduction of imports of light vehicles, Renault case, of the Multiparty Trade Agreement (MCA) between Ecuador and the European Union. Tariff benefits can be grouped into reductions to the ad valorem tariff, as long as the agreement and the conditions of the subject merchandise stipulate it, so it will seek to determine the main benefits in the import of light vehicles after the agreement signed in 2016, in order to make the products more competitive and attractive to local consumers.
