Resumen : Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is defined as any renal structural damage or deterioration of glomerular filtration rate (GFR) below 60 ml/min/1.73 m2, whatever the underlying cause, with implications for health. This definition requires that the damage be maintained for more than three months. The objective of the research work focuses on developing an educational guide on care for older adult patients with chronic kidney failure. The Methodology used in this study is Analytical-synthetic Inductive-deductive cross-sectional, following the methodology of systematic literature reviews. In the Results obtained, it was possible to understand the importance of care by the professional in the patient with chronic kidney disease, not only in the sense of direct attention and/or care, but also in the process of prevention and health promotion; thus allowing a better self-care process, strengthened by relevant health education. According to the bibliographic search, it stands out that in the research carried out by (Castillo & Guerra, 2021) and (De-la-Cruz- Martínez & GallegosTorres, 2020) based on surveys of patients with CKD in dialysis centers, they agree that the The treatment of the nurse and the care provided to them are satisfactory, but it is reflected in both cases that it is necessary for the nurse to be trained and apply the care in a formal manner and it is recommended that the care already established by the nursing staff and the doctor continue to be applied. Humanized care must continue and be reinforced mong patients and the multidisciplinary team should also investigate the influence on quality of life in relation to treatment and diagnosis.
