A nivel mundial, la preeclampsia y otros trastornos hipertensivos del embarazo son una de las principales causas de enfermedad y muerte materna y neonatal. En la Región, según datos de la Organización Mundial de la Salud, más del 20% de las muertes maternas son provocados por problemas hipertensivos. (OMS, 2019). | es |
dc.description.abstract | Preeclampsia is a hypertensive disorder that can occur during pregnancy and postpartum and which has repercussions on both the mother and the fetus. Globally, the Preeclampsia and other hypertensive disorders of pregnancy are one of the main causes of maternal and neonatal illness and death. In the Region, according to data from the Organization World Health Organization, more than 20% of maternal deaths are caused by problems hypertensive. (WHO, 2019). According to (FIGO, 2019), published Guidelines to combat reeclampsia and makes a called for all women to receive a first trimester evaluation because 76,000 women and 500,000 babies die each year from hypertension and preeclampsia during pregnancy (PAH), making this disorder one of the main causes of morbidity and maternal and perinatal mortality worldwide. The (WHO, 2021) in Latin America and the Caribbean, it is estimated that up to 26% of Maternal deaths are related to preeclampsia, compared to 9% of maternal deaths in Africa and Asia. In developing countries, preeclampsia-eclampsia can cause up to 30% of maternal deaths, which is why this pathology is considered As a public health problem, preeclampsia generally occurs at 20 weeks of gestation and up to 6 weeks after delivery, although in rare cases it can occur before 20 weeks. | es |
