The international treaties on intellectual property guarantee the protection and promotion of copyrights, patents, trademarks, and other intangible assets, while fostering harmonization with international standards. The research objective was to analyze the impact of these treaties on intellectual property legislation in Ecuador during the 2020-2022 period. The study was based on qualitative methodological strategies, including documentary review and expert interviews. The results indicated that the main treaties, such as the Berne Convention, the TRIPS Agreement, and the WIPO agreements in general, have driven changes in national legislation, such as the enactment of the Organic Code of the Social Economy of Knowledge, Creativity and Innovation in 2016, which established a comprehensive framework for the management of intellectual rights aligned with the country's constitutional principles and international commitments. Subsequently, in 2020, the Knowledge Management Regulations were issued. The creation of SENADI has allowed for more effective management of these rights, benefiting creators, inventors, and companies. Additionally, the establishment of a clear system for the acquisition and exercise of intellectual rights has encouraged innovation and creativity in the country. However, challenges still exist, such as the fight against piracy and the need to constantly update regulations to adapt to technological changes. In general, alignment with international standards has been positive, representing an opportunity to strengthen the creative economy and promote scientific and technological development in Ecuador.es
