Abstract

The abandonment of the home, also known as one of the most existing social phenomena in our country, is also considered a form of violence towards minors who are part of it, becoming a violation of their rights, generating short and long-term consequences, long term. We can mention that leaving home is an action that affects the physical, cognitive and emotional area of those who have experienced it. When a minor is a victim of abandonment, she loses attention to her basic needs such as food, mental and physical health, education and safety. According to the contribution of various authors mentioned, it is considered that minors who experience a situation of abandonment come to present physical and psychological sings of abuse, reflecting that the damage presented is inflicted by an adult. Among the most common causes of abandonment of the home is due to addictions of one of the parents, due to infidelities, poverty and domestic violence, among which there is a high coincidence that these cause aggressiveness, behavioral changes, low self-esteem, personality problems, academic desertion and compulsive behavior.
