Abstract

The present research titled "The Role of the Social Worker in the Protection of Human Rights of Children and Adolescents: A Study in the Cantonal Board of Manta, 2024" is conducted with the purpose of highlighting the functions that social workers perform within the Cantonal Board of Rights Protection in the city of Manta. It will also serve to demonstrate the quality of the services provided by this institution. This project addresses relevant topics such as the types of interventions most commonly used, the institutions that offer support to childre n and families who have been affected in some way, and, above all, the main causes or factors that contribute to the violation of rights. Previous research and scientific articles that have provided valuable information for this project have been referenced. There are public institutions that provide logistical support to make it easier and more direct to address the social issues that arise every day. This research explains several models that may help resolve conflicts that could interfere with the social well-being of children and adolescents. The crisis intervention model is the most commonly used by social workers in the different Cantonal Boards of Rights Protection.
