Abstract

The research titled "Administrative Management and Competitiveness of Tourism Operators, Puerto López, 2024" aimed to analyze the impact of administrative management on the competitiveness of tourism operators in the Puerto López canton during 2024. These tourism service companies face challenges in their administrative management, affecting operational performance and their ability to adapt to market changes. However, despite these challenges, it was found that tourism operators exhibit issues in their internal control systems. The study employed a quantitative methodology with a descriptive-correlational scope and a non-experimental cross-sectional design. The population consisted of 70 employees from 15 tourism operators. Data collection was conducted through surveys based on a Likert scale to gather information on the dimensions of administrative management and its impact on competitiveness. The results revealed that shortcomings in administrative management negatively affect competitiveness, limiting the achievement of strategic objectives, operational efficiency, and service quality. The lack of effective control systems was identified as the main issue, impacting the ability to adapt to a competitive environment. It was concluded that proper administrative management positively influences competitiveness. Recommendations include implementing clear strategies, staff training, and improvements in control and evaluation systems to optimize resources and generate sustainable competitive advantages. These measures will benefit both the tourism operators and the economic and social development of the canton.
