Abstract

This study deals with the topic “Organic Law on Transparency and Access to Public Information as an instrument to guarantee the right of free access to Information, in the Decentralized Autonomous Government of the Canton of Montecristi, period 2024”, which addresses the problem of outdated information produced in each administration, which is why it would not be provided in a timely manner on the website. Therefore, if this were complied with, this would allow companies to guarantee their transparency and the right of free access to information. Therefore, the problem that motivates the investigative process is based on the observation carried out in the Decentralized Autonomous Government (GAD) of the Canton of Montecristi, since due to its activity it becomes a generator and receiver of information from its officials, as well as from the users of the different services offered. Likewise, it is of interest to increase the knowledge of those involved in this process, regarding the Organic Law of Transparency and Access to Public Information (LOTAIP) as an instrument to guarantee the right of people to request information. In this sense, different studies of academic products are proposed that serve as a research foundation in the present study.
