Propuesta técnica para la construcción de un taller para ingeniería marítima en la Universidad Laica Eloy Alfaro de Manabí.

Abstract

The present degree project, proposed as a technical endeavor, aims to design and conduct the structural analysis of the workshop for the Faculty of Maritime Engineering at Universidad Laica Eloy Alfaro de Manabí. This workshop will facilitate educational activities for the students of that faculty and enhance their learning experience. The project envisions a steel structure composed of structural steel beams and columns, with the foundation designed using isolated footings. The structural analysis was carried out using ETABS software, ensuring the design complied with regulations and that the elements met the Steel Frame Design requirements. For the foundation, compliance was verified against three types of failures (beam-shear, punching, and flexion). Lastly, a reference budget and a valued schedule for the project's activities are presented. The outcome is a functional design that, once implemented, will improve the quality of education for the students of the Faculty of Maritime Engineering.
