Abstract

The implementation of an access control system via a mobile application in the classrooms of the Agricultural Sciences program at the Faculty of Life Sciences and Technologies of ULEAM is of decisive importance. This system offers an innovative solution by optimizing security and efficiency in accessing academic facilities. Currently, classroom access is managed manually, primarily using keys, which presents significant limitations. The lack of an adequate record and the possibility of losing or misplacing keys pose various challenges in managing security and access control. For this reason, it is proposed to implement an access control system compatible with Android devices through a mobile application. This application will contain a detailed record of all individuals who access the classrooms, ensuring reliable and secure information storage, thereby guaranteeing the system's security and efficiency. This system will primarily employ biometric technology, such as fingerprint scanning, but will also include authentication methods like identification cards or passwords. This provides flexibility and adaptability to the specific needs of each space, making this solution not only a reinforcement of security in the facilities but also helping to simplify and streamline the access process for both students and authorized personnel.
