dc.description.abstract | The thesis develops a web application to manage the development phase of the degree process in the Information Technology program at the Universidad Laica Eloy Alfaro de Manabí. The project addresses the need to optimize administrative and academic management through a digital tool that centralizes information, enhances transparency, and streamlines processes. Modern technologies such as Angular, NestJS, and PostgreSQL were selected for their robustness, scalability, and efficient integration. The main objective is to automate and improve the management of the process, tackling issues identified in data collection, such as the lack of centralized information, complexity in tracking stages, and inefficiency in communication between students, tutors, and administrative staff. To achieve this, methodologies like Extreme Programming (XP) were applied, enabling agile development through iterations and continuous testing. Surveys and interviews conducted with key stakeholders helped identify specific needs and define the system's functional requirements. The implemented solution includes features such as enrollment registration, tracking of required documentation, schedule consultation for tutoring sessions, and detailed report generation. Students can monitor the progress of their stages, check pending tasks, and submit requests, while tutors manage schedules and evaluate stages. Administrators and secretaries have access to tools for managing users, enrollments, and automated notifications, which reduce response times and enhance the user experience. The system proved to be effective in optimizing workflows, reducing errors, and improving the transparency of the process. It is concluded that the tool significantly contributes to the management of the development phase. It is recommended to include functionalities for the evaluation phase in the future, which would strengthen the solution and expand its scope, achieving comprehensive management of the graduation process. | es |
