dc.descriptionEl reflujo gastroesofágico (ERGE) es una enfermedad multifactorial que genera elevados costos sanitarios, caracterizándose como el paso del contenido gástrico al esófago y a su vez genera, ardor en la garganta, dolor en el pecho, pirosis, ronquera, asma y percepción del material acido; en base a las manifestaciones que se presenta a nivel bucal, corresponde a la disminución del PH, Alteración de la saliva, Halitosis, Enfermedad periodontal y en los tejidos duros originan: Erosión dental y Caries dental.es
dc.description.abstractGastroesophageal reflux (GERD) is a multifactorial disease that generates high health costs, characterised as the passage of gastric contents into the oesophagus and in turn generates, burning in the throat, chest pain, heartburn, hoarseness, asthma and perception of acidic material; based on the manifestations that occur at the oral level, corresponds to the decrease in PH, alteration of saliva, Halitosis, periodontal disease and hard tissues originate: Dental erosion and dental caries, Objective To identify the different oral manifestations that occur in patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease, Methodology a systematic review was conducted; in which, sources of information from digital platforms such as: Google Scholar, Scielo, Dialnet, Science Direct, Results a database was developed that included 20 articles, to identify oral manifestations and the degree of oral involvement in patients suffering from GERD according to author and types of research. Conclusions Patients with GERD suffer from a decrease in pH in the mouth as a consequence of the presence of stomach acid coming from the oesophagus, this pH in the mouth becomes acidic; this acidity causes serious problems for the teeth such as dental erosion, sensitivity and risk of caries.es
