Abstract

This research project analyzes the social action of the Decentralized Autonomous Government of the Chone canton and its impact on the economic development of small-scale ranchers, a fundamental sector for the local economy. The study focuses on evaluating the effectiveness of the implemented social policies, identifying their influence on the quality of life and productive opportunities of small-scale ranchers. Through a mixed approach that combines quantitative tools such as surveys and documentary analysis, the main limitations of the GAD's social actions were identified. The results show that these have not generated a significant positive impact on the economic development or quality of life of ranchers. The main problems include low accessibility to training and financing programs, as well as the lack of alignment between public policies and the specific needs of this sector.
